Default Tickford XR6 VCT build numbers

Guys I am after build numbers for the series 1 tickford xr6 vct sedans and XR6 hp's
Wouldn't mind finding out how many XR8's as well as Series 2 and 3 XR6 VCT's

Someone said to me around 2000 S1 xr6 vct's but no idea if that's true

Also Too you have to take into account how many Fairmont Ghia's like mine were fitted with Tickford 168kw VCT motor.

Why? It shares the motor but is not a Tickford. No different to the AU1 XR8 sharing the majority of its motor with a V8 Forte.

Interesting figures - just goes to show that consumers finally thought they got the XR8 right by the third series. Nice bofykit, 220kw motor. Also interesting is that the autos outweigh manuals by nearly 4 to 1 across all models.

Any stats on how many of these came with full bodykits, bi-plane spoilers (for series 1) etc?

Casper - it's probably worth adding these stats to the AUfalcon . com site. I know the site covers all AUs, but these are supposed to be the performance AUs so it's interesting to know what the figures are.

Maybe I should sell mine as a limited model - 1 of only 1874 built (actually it would be less than that as mine's an ex police car, so comes with the cop dash and cop interior light switch, plus the non-existant chip that so many ex-police car owners think are fitted to the car - me included, initially)!

Yup, agreed. I remember Dark Horse gave them to me ages ago but I lost them when I reformatted and forgot to ask for them again.

The Figures shows S1 sold more VCT's XR6's than 2/3 interesting.

Only 282 manual S3 VCT's made would just about put it in a collecters cat down the track.

Are the utes included in these fig's

im really supprised with how few XR6 VCT's were actually produced....i really would have thought they would have outsold XR8's.

I wonder how the upper model XR6 (turbo) compares to the XR8 in BA sales?

Yeah amazing, the S1 HP doesn't have power windows but my august 98 VCT auto 172kw does
I caught one dealership trying to sell one XR6 HP as a VCT

Thanks for the figures cheaman, really want to see your car in the flesh some day
So less VCT's than I thought - 1358 ain't many
Wonder how many of them came with bi plane spoiler like mine.
According to the magazines I have, most were ordered with the single.

Only the very first of the S1 HP's got winders.. the majority got front power windows.
VCT's were fitted with all power windows since day 1.

I thought that the HP motor was stopped in the S2, or was this only for the utes, from what I was informed they phased it out in the S2. As I say though this may have only been in the utes.

It was the utes. The trusty 164 kW donk stayed on in the XR6 HP sedans.

Whilst on the subject of AU production figures:

AU 111,420

AUII 93,250

AUIII 31,320

Total: 235,990

Not too sure if the T-Series figures were included, but apart from that that's everything - sedans, utes and wagons.

Would be interesting to see break up of build numbers into colour and whether body kits fitted or not.

It would also be interesting to know how many cars still exist.

I doubt you would be able to get numbers of bodykits fitted, some would be dealer fitted which the factory would not know about, let alone it would mean searching by the option number and it is difficult enough getting numbers for a model number.

The utes are not included in those figures, the only figures I have for these are:
AU1 XR6 ute - 868 (HP)
AU2 XR8 Pursuit 260 - 150
