This came on today and I was wanted to check a few things regarding it...
1 - Do I need the car back at Ford to remove the warning light ? 2 - What can I check myself in regards to it ? I've checked the oil and radiator fluid levels and they are fine ? What other possible probs could it be ? Blocked radiator hose ? Stuffed sensor somewhere ?

Get this though...I filled the car up (over half tank anyway) and the light disappeared.... I was previously on about < 40 DTE.
Fan belt ok. No other warning lights either. Really bizarre. I think I'll still take it in to get checked.

You sure it wasn't the low fuel warning light?

With petrol prices as they are I am quite familiar with the fuel level light...
It was def the engine temp light (looks like a thermometer in the ocean lol).

Yeh i had the light showing on my dash and it ended up being the temperature switch that goes into the side of the overflow tank.

Yer its definately the engine temp light. Even checked with the users manual to be sure.
Since filling up the car with fuel the light has disappeared.
