As the title suggests has anyone relocated the ABS unit from behind the battery?
I haven't had a good look at what is required, just wondered if anyone had tackled this?

i dont see why you couldnt
if you used some parts from the older falcons with the abs down behind the headlight etc you could get away with it ok maybe talk to a brake specialist due to the ADR's etc that go along with safety systems etc for your car it may be a big no no

Yeah I have no doubt it is possible, just a matter of how much work is involved..And cost..
I have a good contact a RDA so might give him a call and have a chat.. Not sure what I can use from older cars, remembering that there is Traction Control to contend with as well.. Went and have a look see through Daniels (CAT600) build thread in the hope he'd relocated his, but he hasn't..

Didn't Ford relocate it in the B-Series? That's your easiest solution I would think.

B-Series have it on passenger side behind the spring tower if I haven't lost my memory.
Search up some pics of a B-Series engine bay - there has to be plenty around the forum I'd expect. |

Give Shane a PM (Sprint347), as the "Minginator" had the ABS relocated by Herrod's to the BA onwards position, and has since been returned to stock.... it's possible Shane kept the lines.
