Hey guys needing to get the rear drivers wheel bearing done on the Rebel again.
Was done 3yrs ago buy a unnamed dealership,( huge stuffup) and then replaced under warranty about a year later, when it started to grind. It has now started to grind again, after less then 20K kms and I'm not paying those monkeys to let the apprentices root my car again. Any ideas about a good place to get it repaired would be great. I live in Kwinnana but anywhere in perth is fine. Alot of hassel over a cross threaded wheel stud I tell you. |

What is a good price for diff work in Perth? Had one place estimate $450 for rear wheel bearings and another $850 for a crown wheel and pinion for the fairlane (not 9"). Didn't want to leave it with either place as they didn't seem confident in what they were saying.

Wheel bearings on a live axle AU take about 1 hour a side at the most. Say $80 an hour labour and $100 (bit steep) for wheel bearings = $260 give or take.
It also cost me $450 to get my pinion bearing, side carrier bearings, Pinion seal and oil replaced. |
