When questioned by the local constabulary as to why I was doing the speed I was, I mearly explained why.

"I live in W.A. and the only time I can go faster than the W.A. limit of 110km/h is when I cross the border."

He agreed to a certain point, but still fined me nevertheless, which I was willing to go and pay as soon as I reached Darwin.

This is the only time I have ever been fined or caught exceeding any speed limit anywhere.

The open roads of the Northern Territory are a great place to explore the upper echelons of one's vehicle.

Well.............they used to be.

Until someone in a high place decided otherwise.....................
There's this black soil road from Avon Downs up to the Brunette Race Course - I bet they don't patrol that one. Black soil is an excellent high speed surface.......

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

I voted "Start a thread on AFF complaining about the Holden bias". After all, we do DRIVE on these open zones, don't we?

Okay, I'll stop now.

Where's the "Get a work transfer to NT and move there" option?

Since my option isn't there, I chose the "PM all the other wowsers on AFF to lobby Scruby to get it closed" in protest, I'm sure Sudzy will head up this task force.

I am somewhat dismayed at the increasing number of negative threads and anti "fun in a car" biased rants.

As a side issue I have managed to borrow a Highway Patrol car, bike and paddy wagon (and several large gentlemen in blue) so on a date in the not too distant future who would like to have their piccy taken being arrested in handcuffs for hooning?

Only cost you a $5 donation to Variety (or as much as you wish to donate)
Oohh Police cars/bikes and some boys in blue with handcuffs all this for a five dollar donation....I'm in bon.... um heaven.
So where do I get arrested?

Its a pity that the poll isnt multiple choice. I really wanted to vote "Start a thread on AFF complaining about it and how there will be millions killed" but was afraid it might just be taken seriously......

I wish to express my sternest concern as to the closing date of this poll being 03-08-11.

August 3, or 3-08, is a blatantly Holden day, it's as close to 666 as you can get, and as such I cannot participate in this poll.

If it had finished on February 3, being 3-02, I may have helped out!
