just wondering if anyone else has trouble blowing belts on their crossflow? once i rev it to about 5grand it blows a p/s belt and rolls the alt belt before blowing it too. the pulleys appear to be lined up. just a small teething problem on recently resurected old girl

Ive got the same problem on mine. Make sure you're running the correct power steering bracket for the pump eg ram pump old bracket, XE or XF pump new style bracket as even if you shim the ram pump bracket its still off by a touch and will throw the belt at high revs. Why the alternator comes off is beyond me as its behind p/s???

i had this problem. Power steer belt not so bad, but the alt one came off alot. till i went to the parts shop and they didnt have the rite belt. The closet belt thay had was the same length but wider then the orignal one, it didnt fit in the v on the pulleys to well but ever since then i havent lost the alt belt.
Dont know if this is reason i dont loose the power steer belt, but my bracket is missing a bit off the back of it alouing it flex. It not offen it comes off
