For anyone who has bought a car, has anybody dealt with national warranty company?
Which claims have gone through and which claims have been turned away Recently i had my automatic shifter solenoids replaced but they didnt cover it On the warranty side it states that Gearbox/Transmission internal lubricated parts are covered but solenoids is an exclusion on its list, go figure |

Anything that is ever likely to fail will not be covered and anything that is covered will never fail.

I had a head gasket fail (big time) on a 5L engine and nothing about that was covered. Personally, I wouldn't bother with any National Warranty Company, especially if their name was something like duck or another similar looking bird.

Years ago I had an engine fail, they replaced it, but I still had to come up with $800 out of my own pocket. That was also after 2 months before they decided it was covered.

We did some repairs for them on a customers car. The car needed a new window reg so they sent a second hand one from the east. Personally if I was offered this warranty I would even bother with it.

They generally arent worth the paper they are written on, i got extended warranty when i bought my xr8, sat in the office talking to the bloke about how good it was that the car has some nice mods, and he was happy to take my money.... then sure enough, check the fine print and cars with any modifications weren't covered!! I thought about calling them up but my head gets sore when i hammer it against a brick wall!

Yes, buy the sounds of it when i was looking for an automatics place to take my car to, many mechanics said they do not want to deal with them
Its does look like they arnt worth the paper it seems Id like to know what the national warranty company have paid for and make sure everyone in australia gets those repairs done, that will teach them from stealing our money in a so called "LEGAL" way |
