I never poke fun at any recall on any make of car.

I'm just glad I live in a country with a system that means manufacturers are legally obliged to admit they've made a stuff up and recall and fix the vehicles for free, sometimes years later and well out of warrantee...they could just as easily do what they all did in the bad old days and ignore the lemons, letting owners deal with it at thier own expense.

Ford will, inevitably, have another recall in the future. People who live in glass houses, and all that...

HOLDEN has issued a safety recall for more than 25,000 South Korean-built diesel cars to fix a possible leak from a defective fuel line that could pose a fire hazard.

The recall applies to Series 1 Captivas, Cruzes and Epicas, all fitted with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine.

About 4 or 5 years ago, Toyota had a massive recall on Hiluxes for the drag link. These Hiluxes dated back to the early 90's. So spot on with this comment.

Sad fact of car manufacturers these days. They mass produce so many of them, there is bound to be some issue down the track. Don't care what manufacturer it is, it is going to happen. Just be thankful the majority of the recall items DON"T come out of your pocket for the repairs.

Please read the manual carefully, as the these manufacturers spent millions of dollars making sure it is perfect.....Now why are there so many problems with my car, when I follow the instructions to the letter?....Answer, majority rules round here

And cars being merely a mechanical device made of tens of thousands of parts, you have to kind of expect there to be the occasional flub during production...sometimes things that don't show up for many years.

Nothing is perfect.
