Default swapping EF XR for AU ute??

me and one of my mates are thinkin of swapping cars as he is after a sedan and i've already got another sedan and wouldnt mind a ute just wondering what your oppinions are

here's the specs.

EF XR6
bodykit
lowered
extractors/ 2.5in cat back
18' chrome mayhems with new tyres
194.***k's

AU UTE
totally stock
134.***k's

on both cars paint is in good nick and no body damage

price them up 1st, have a look at redbook and take the lowest prices to be fair

yeh that's 1 of the main reason's is re-sale price and i know with the mods i've done to the XR i'll never get my full money back on them if i sell the car

why dont yas do a mock swap for a while...like swap cars for a week and then decide? you might find you hate driving it after a while or find little quirks about the ute that ya dont like...or you could love it, the same goes with ya mate.

yeh well ive got his car for the next few days and ive driven it before and i dont mind it...it hasnt got as much balls as the xr but still good. also every weekend when we go out i'll be drinkin so he'll drive and he loves the car

Chris mate, would you be using the ute for transporting goods ect, because remember theres only room for you and one other in the cab.
If the shoe was on my foot id be looking for an AU XR sedan.

Will you end up coming out infront money wise (resale price) with the swap?

At the end of the day its upto you and your mate

well the thing is he doesnt have much knowledge of cars but he is just after a sedan and even if i do change my mind im pretty sure re-sale wise that i will come out in front

You should sell me your body kit, and subs because theres no room really for em in the ute, and im chasing a body kit.

Edit: the subs can go in the EA

Also, have you thought about keeping the 18" wheels putting em on the EA and putting the 16" ones back onto the XR for the swap??
