Default Name dropping at JMM

Hey Casper... dropped your name while I was on the phone to JMM today, said some good things about your car (not that I didn't believe you :the_finge ).. Great service there even before the name drop, unfortunatly they don't have a fitter up here in ACT.

So Im now starting to work out a time when I can get down to Melbourne for some "JMM Tuning".

One day I will make up my mind, I think with the JMM tune I will be happy for awhile.

Was thinking about turbo first, then selling mine & getting a MKII Turbo. Then everytime I go back out to the carpark, I just can't bring myself to trade or sell. A) don't want someone else to drive it. B) Im in love with it C) I own it fully D) it looks hot. Biased I know

I've heard that name dropping doesn't work there. Never tried it myself. Give it a shot though.

Lol, cant hurt. Jim knows me pretty well and, with a VCT, he knows his stuff.
I probably have kept my mouth shut about JMM, all these other VCT's out there now know exactly how to keep up with me now :(

Yeah I tried dropping Caspers name last time. All they said was "Who?" Then when I jogged their memory, Brendan kicked me in the nuts and Jim began to cry.

I was on to them from when I bought my car, skeptical though and being in Melbourne made it a bit harder. Someone has to be the guinea pig, worked out good for you though

I dropped Casper's name (not real name), also saying a few good things about the car, Brendan just said "its alright, but its only an auto" :dr_Evil:

They've mentioned you a few times to me before, Shane. You should be paid as a sales rep.

Hardly.. I dont "sell". People ask me what I have and why it works.. then they ask if they can mention my name to JMM.

Dont worry boys, I get along real well with Jim and Brenden but I'm just one of hundreds of customer cars they have. It just so happens I was the idiot who went chasing power from an auto VCT... thats why its known. Nothing special and yes, I still pay full price as I should.

Just mention the name Casper, and his spotters fee will be added to the RRP before sale!

Sorry Shane, it was the wrong thing to say. Word of mouth is very powerful and is how I get all my business as well.

Spotters Fee.. I BLOODY WISH. If I got a spotters fee I'd have one HELL of a modded car by now.

No, I am not on the JMM payroll in any way, shape or form.
Truth is that I rarely if ever even talk about JMM unless asked anymore. People know I go there.. they know the results. If they want more info then they can PM me.

I'm not upset, I'm all for people dropping my name at JMM. Its good for me (I have to admit they do look after me VERY well, I can get my car in there almost any time for work if needed), good for the person as Jim or Brenden know they are generally for real as they have already done a bit of homework, and great for the Forums as JMM are sponsers and its good to see the sponsership pay off..

Just dont assume I'm making any gain from any of this... cause apart from a "priority booking" sometimes... I'm just another customer.

When you get good service,, I always tell people about em.. Like Revell Steering and Suspension in Fyshwick.. ;) They way I figure it is, people are more likely to whinge then to pay compliments and I have seen that in my business, and like Dauphin I get all my business through word of mouth.

Great blokes, I went in there when they were turning people away last working day before christmas last year. I needed the car sorted as I had to head down the Clyde Mt. They said no worries Phil bring her back in 30mins.. They had it up on the hoist did what they needed too and I was outta there..

I dropped Forums first then Casper, same as when I got my brakes from FernTree I told I got the number from the Forums.. Like it was said above they need to know that the sponsorship dollar is working for them, cause they also will refer people to sponsor the forum.. So its all part of the circle of life...

PS: I love how these forums go on crazy tangents..

Your point is? I havent seen Casper force anyone to go to JMM. I have seen him get asked a lot of questions from a lot of different AU owners who have seen the results of his cars mods. They work and, especially for VCT owners, people would be nuts not to at least ask him. What they do after that is their choice dont you think?

Default Really

I dropped Caspers name there & got Verbvally abused!!!!. They said his car was only a 118kw stage 1! & a VN comkmodore could blow him away at the lights & his car could only run high 16's because of its disrepair & 250,000's Kms on the clock!!
Now that I have your attention after all the Bull Sh#it. I believe it is a fantastic thing for all the AU owners that Casper has a good relationship with JMM. Lets face cold hard facts!!!!!, JMM are the cutting edge for AU performance & our white friend is at the cutting edge for overseeing the Au's development!!!!!!!!

AMEN :evil3:

And your point is? 16 second envy perhaps?

Real Tickford wings are quicker than hand painted ones, and quicker again with a dose of JMM goodness! No sour grapes were used in attainment of any of the times achieved thus far!
