Hi guys,
I am trying to collate special events/milestones in various car brands history. I am really just concentrating on those brands still producing and selling in Australia. For example, Ford...milestones might include a Bathurst victory 30 years ago this May or launch of the XY GTHO, fastest 4 door in the world 40 years ago next November etc. I am also trying to find out how many companies here have heritage depts that may be able to help me with these timelines. Particular brands I'm interested include: Aston Martin Ford Holden Ferrari Maserati Mercedes Audi BMW Renault Lotus Jaguar Lambo Fiat Alfa These are just a few to start with but if anyone either works in the industry or has historical timelines for these makes, I'd be very grateful for any help. Basically, I am putting a project together which i hope may land me a new employer......not with these brands btw! If you are unsure that you are comfortable posting publically, please do contact me via PM Cheers, Jamie

When Holden was bought by GM it was actually run by a Pommy bloke.
The first Holden made was a 20yr old GM concept so wasn't really designed here. Mazda in collaboration with Holden made the road pacer which was a Kingswood with a 13b? rotory in it i think it was for the Japanese market. Holden made fridges my mum has one most reliable holden ever lol. Ford was exporting falcon sedans, wagons and utes as well as fairlanes and LTD's to the UK from XR to XD including GT's and landau coupes. Ford built the Capri Parana in South Africa with a 302 windsor and toploader i think that was in 69-70?
