what do they mean by bolt ons?
I guess thats a whole lot of stuff!

I guess they even ditch the brakes and put on tiny ones seeing as though they stuck on tiny tyres, as its all about rolling masses?

Out of interest, what would the above achieve? half a second?

custom tune alone was showing an extra 50rwhp. factory the engines are producing close to 700hp to run those numbers would be showing close to 850-900hp.

That is awesome but thats not must faster than a tuned GT 335 Auto. A GT would run in the 10's with the right set up but not with a manual. The mustang's solid rear end would help not having to worry about popping halve shafts and diff bushes.

Put. This. Engine. In. FPV Falcon.

GT 355. Big wing, big wheels, splitter, track tuned suspension. Cashed up aussie miners will buy it.

In that video... the knuckleheads have put 5.0 plates on the car.

The question remains, did he drive 3000km to the track to race it?

i don't think there is any GS/GT running a 10-sec pass tune only. the manual Dale (Castle Hill Performance) tunes ran an 11.0@127 that had $4k intercooler and was on ethanol, 1-second and 15mph is alot faster especially at those times, and it's not easy to drop those times

they are a daily street driver, with the mods done, apart from the fuel, i have no doubt it could go 10000km's and race. i'm surprised they choose the Shell URT fuel over the E85 as it's so readily available there and would produce as good if not better results.

My point is that with a tune and a few mods that a GT/GS would run 10's and without checking the specs i think the 4 door Falcon would be slightly heavier than the Mustang. The mustang would already be intercooled and have a better blower than our blown cars. I'm not taking anything away from the Mustang as the Falcon would never run 9's with a manual but they are cars which are miles apart in spec and configuration. The GT's weakest link is its IRS and tailshaft.

the Mustang is really well priced with all the stuff it has compared to the Falcons, comes in around the $57k mark. Falcon is 100-odd kg heavier. compared to Chev, Holden, Toyota the Ford IRS is terrible for drag racing.

It’s funny how whenever there is a new Mustang thread everybody wants one … I guess it’s just a sign of things how everyone has pretty much moved on from the Falcon, when even the Ford Forums members don’t want one anymore … and then we got threads as to why the car does not sell … I would love a dark blue 302 myself, I don’t like all the supercharged BS …

Have you driven one dimka100?

Goes like a bat out of hell! Love the monstorous torque!

As for everyone moving on from the Falcon, I'd take a Falcon any day of the week over a mustang.

You can't fit the wife + kids + strollers + groceries into a mustang without some major grief

You can fit wife + kids + groceries into a Mustang with absolutely no grief whatsoever, kids have legs I let them use the bloody things.

(and technically I could fit a stroller as well with a few less groceries )

Um...no...that would be when everyone starts preferring a Hyundai Veloster and Gucci handbags.

Mustangs are Mustangs.

I would prefer a Shelby over an FPV. But I would rather both.
