hey, just got a AU ute, i havent got the books for it yet so i am unsure about this
when i first turn the car on it makes beeping noises and DTE comes on the dash, whats that mean cheers aaron |

It means you are nearly out of fuel. The DTE is Distance To Empty, and when the car gets below 10 litres or a range of 80, then 60, then 40km, it beeps at you. Only way to solve this is by putting fuel in.

oh ok thanks heaps, A bit diff from the old ghia telling me how many k's have left but yea.
I think it was beeping when it had a bit of feul in it but, now that i know ill keep my eye on it and work it all out. cheers |

Press the little "stick" that comes out of the instrument cluster to switch between DTE and the odometre. The large numbers are the total distance travelled but by pressing and holing down the stick resets the little odometer to 0km, so you can measure the distance of a journey.
