Default Moving interstate - Eligible for different license?

Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum, I wasn't sure where to post it.

As I'll be moving interstate to NSW in the next coming months, that means I'll be eligible to progress from a Learner to a P1 license in NSW.

I was just wondering what are the complications with this? Are there rules that I'd have to do a certain amount of extra hours (Already done the 120 & 20 night driving) to get a P1 license? Or can I just change my learners over to NSW and take a P1 test the next day?

I was going to call up the RTA & ask them, but as they're closed the next few days I'd figure I'd ask here first & maybe save the hassle of trying to get a straight answer out of them.

Where are you moving from? Likely the best plan will to get your provisional licence in your current state, then get a P1 in NSW when you get here. Then there's no question that you are not a learner, according to the different state rules.

I'm moving from Victoria (Which P1 license is 18) to NSW (P1 being 17)
As I'm not 18 yet, getting my P's here then moving to NSW wouldn't be an option
