Default myFord Capped Price Servicing Expands

23rd April, 2012

Ford Australia has expanded its myFord Capped Price Servicing program. The program now includes the FG Falcon MkII EcoBoost, Ford Kuga TE and Ranger PX 4x2 and 4x4, as well as the range of Ford vehicles.

myFord Capped Price Servicing delivers security and certainty for customers, according to Ford Australia General Manager, Customer Service Division, Stephen Kruk.

“It is based on four core principles – trust, commitment, protection and convenience,” he said.

Customers have responded positively to myFord Capped Price Servicing since its introduction in July 2011, he said.

“Our customers tell us that price and trust are two of the most important things for them when they take their vehicle to a dealer,” he said. “They don’t want to be ripped off.

“This level of servicing certainty is important for Ford customers who face the challenges of rising consumer costs in their everyday lives.” he said. “It’s a commitment from Ford.

“Importantly, it’s not just for the warranty period but for the whole new car ownership cycle – up to six years old or 105,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first.
“Capped Price Servicing is our brand commitment to a service experience customers can trust and provides value for money - with the addition of roadside assistance.
“All this with the convenience of 12-month or 15,000km service intervals to minimise the number of services to one per year at our 250 authorised service outlets.”

“Let me give you some examples of what a customer will find on the Ford website.

“For an FG Falcon MkII EcoBoost at any participating dealer, the maximum costs of an A (minor) logbook service (15,000, 30,000, 60,000, 75,000 or 105,000 km) is currently $240, which includes 12 months myFord Roadside Assistance (RRP $90). Given a customer only has to return every 12 months or 15,000 km for service, this represents fantastic value for money.”

For an A (minor) logbook service (15,000, 30,000, 45,000, 90,000 or 105,000Km) for the Ford Kuga TE 2.5-litre turbo, the current maximum price a customer would pay is $375, which also includes 12 months myFord Roadside Assistance. myFord Capped Price Servicingis available on all Ford vehicles built from 2007 and up to six years or 105,000km – whichever occurs first.

The program means Ford owners can go to the Ford website and know the maximum amount they will pay for a logbook service up to six years or 105,000km, no matter which participating Ford dealer they use.

Customers can also check out in full myFord Capped Price Servicing terms and conditions at URL="http://www.ford.com.au/myfordcps"]www.ford.com.au/myfordcps[/URL].

The website provides customers with the maximum price they will pay for a standard A or B logbook service for an eligible vehicle at a participating authorised Ford dealer and has been updated to include FG Falcon MkII EcoBoost, Ford Kuga and Ranger PX.

Vehicles eligible include:- Fiesta – WQ, WS, WT - Focus – LS, LT, LV, LVII - Mondeo – MA, MB, MC - Falcon – BF, BF FPV, BF MkII, BF MkII FPV, BF MkIII, FG, FG FPV, FG MkII, FG MkII FPV - Escape – ZD, ZC - Econovan – JH - Ford Kuga – TE - Territory – SY, SY F6X, SY MkII - Ranger – PJ, PK, PX - Transit – VM

myFord Capped Price Servicing is aimed at reinforcing the value proposition that servicing with a Ford dealer represents. Ford dealers use genuine Ford parts as part of the logbook service and only Ford dealers use Ford-designed diagnostic equipment, and have technicians who undertake training from Ford Motor Company specifically designed for Ford vehicles.

As part of the program the records from all logbook services undertaken by a Ford dealer will be recorded in the Ford computer system. This will allow all dealers to view on line the logbook service history irrespective of which authorised Ford dealer serviced the vehicle.

Prob similar to LV prices. Minor service on a diesel is around the 285 mark.

Edit. 350 for LW, 295 for LV. LW is listed on the capped price site.

flappist I am not being negative..but the road side assist should be optional..because outside major cities and towns, you need RACQ/NRMA/RACWA etc Plus, Premium, Ultra or Elite for coverage in a breakdown, outside major towns...RACQ Ultra has helped me in the past but if I had the basic coverage, I would have been on my own...and it would make servicing cheaper!!!!
