Pretty sure Russell posted a thread on the new Fiesta coming,
I remember something about the 1.0 Ecoboost replacing the diesel option. |

Same reason movies used to take ages to get here. Behind the times useless local dealers. People looked elsewhere with movies and if you're selling two year old car technology people will look elsewhere there too. It'll change eventually, it's change or go broke these days.

Because our Fiestas and Focus' are made in Thailand, who up until now did not make ecoboost engines.

Please explain how a manufacturers local vehicle release date is controlled by the dealer and what makes the dealer useless when they can only sell what the manufacturer provides?

Focus with 1.0 and 1.6 Ecoboost would be absolutely fantastic, and Kuga desperately needs the 2.0 Ecoboost.

The WS (German import) and the WT (Thailand import) are almost the same. The WS has a slightly better build quality and better interior quality if you look closely though.
The price didn't change oddly . Good news is that the ST is coming from Germany. |

O.k what sort of price will a WT be around abouts? I can see myself taking one of these for at least a test drive!

Compared my WS to a work mate's WT and the only noticeable difference (in build/material quality) was the different dash pad material.

On-topic - no, I'm not that happy with my WS Fiesta. It is 'ok' for the money, but I wouldn't want it to be any worse. |

And the new 1.5 litre is gradually replacing the 1.6 litre, not a big change in capacity but much more tech.

There is no 1.0 diesel, I even checked the European Fiesta brochure, the smallest diesel offered in the european Fiesta is the 1.5 TDCi engine, the largest is the 1.6 TDCi engine.
The only 1.0 engines in the European Fiesta are the 1.0 EcoBoost (offered in two levels, 74kW and 92Kw) and the naturally aspirated 59kW version of the 1.0 3-cylinder engine (48kW offered in some markets). Last edited by AG3; 06-08-2013 at 02:43 PM. |
