Yeah. I should have been clearer - how did they fit the screen, was it a rear view mirror job?

These prices have me seriously considering forgetting about fh... Only two points against it
1- the probability either prices will drop more, or a le with somehow more goodies for the same price. Fh is still 12 months away, ford will need to do some serious carrot dangling to keep fg2 selling. 2- fh.... |

10.7L/100km (Canberra traffic) Show me the technology that beats that for $39,500 drive away??? The Falcon doesnt have rain-sensing wipers or chilled cupholders - so who even uses those? |

very attractive offers. A New XR6T would be a great car to own at that price.

The reversing sensors are aftermarket but the camera is the same one that is used in the sedan, i convinced them to do it, it was a pain though they really didnt want to, but both sensors and camera was installed by ford

And further to add to that, the camera shows up when you put it into reverse and comes up in the big screen not in the rear view mirrow, the sensors have a separate unit next to the mirror that beeps and just shows distance in meters and less than metres when you become closer to an object but it was all fitted under warranty, i believe both are asl products if im not mistaken

That's a fair effort as they would have had to wire it back to the dash (due to utes not having the circuits in the loom. But good to know it could be done.

A snail attached to the engine is not technology! Plus there is a lot more to a car than how fast it gets to 100km/h. I'm talking folding mirrors, adaptive cruise control, reverse parking aid etc. These are just a few that are available on cars today that the falcon lacks, apart from also quality where a lot of it's competitors shine. If the XR6T falcon was $40k with the luxury pack I would most likely upgrade. But apart from sheer acceleration, if offers nothing above it competitors. And this is from a falcon owner of the past 16 years.
