Default Your Reviews on PowerFord and warranty

Looking to take my 2012 falcon back for some warranty (mainly rust repair) and just hoping to hear some recent positive feedback or even negative on your experience dealing with them with warranty work. Cheers.

Rust repair on a 2012? Did they use the same metal Alfa Romeo used on the alfasud?

The more I look at the car it looks like ford have deliberately built in future rust areas to keep an eye on! The rust issue that my car has at the moment looks like it was done when the front guard was aligned and they've scratched the "A" pillar and 24thou k's later the scratch has turned to rust. Just hoping they clean it and not just cover it with touch up paint but I was hoping for some input before I go back to see that they are good with warranty and fix things or try to do the she'll be right bodgy touch up hide the rust with touch up paint and if they are good with warranty then I might get them to look at other non rust related warranty issues.

I'll be honest with you. Never been to power ford but I have heard some negative feedback in regards to them in the forum.

Yes I've seen some old posts about them but nothing recently in the last few years but yea fingers crossed and hopefully someone on here has some good news because from what I've read on here about them seems like it's going to be a disappointing experience.

For rust and body work, the dealer is an intermediary. The car will be sent away to a third party. Dealers don't do rust repairs.

In that circumstance you could only critique the dealer on how they handle and manage the issue as they are caught between Ford and a smash repairer.

Thanks for your input and yea I sorta guessed that they would be using 3rd parties for rust/body repairs and only repair mechanical/elec etc on site but it would be nice to hear of any feedback on how they or the dealers third parties have addressed or repaired warranty issues. Like if they have body/smash repairers that concentrate more on the money and pleasing the dealer with cheap repairs than actually fixing issues and only hiding them with inferior repairs etc.

i purchased my XR6 FG , in 2010 , with them and they serviced it throughout the warranty period , it was a lease car . they did some warranty work mainly on engine , they never questioned my concerns and fixed everything , and i never once had to take it back for re work . i also get the GT SERVICED WITH THEM , AND I HAVE NO REGRETS . the main thing i like about them is they dont wash the car if i ask them not to . ( sounds lame ) but some dealers will anyway . and no scratches or dings throughout 3 years , no fingerprints or grease marks after any service , and yes i always double checked thier work .
some cars i'm told do get scratched etc , but they are honest about it and will fix anything that they do however i've had no problem , i cannot say the same for 3 other dealers i dealt with getting cars serviced overe the years , and warranty work for example being shoddy .
i havent had such problems with power ford . however i think i made it clear from the get go . that i'm not an easy customer if i'm not looked after properly .

an example . the xr6 whilst under warranty , started to seep oil down the side of the block , coming from the head . not a drip just a slow oil like mark , wet to touch .
i asked them to tighten/ and or replace the rocker cover gasket / upon inspection , they believed it was a porous rocker cover , ordered a new one and fitted it under warranty .
obviously thier relationship with ford is what matters with warranty repairs , and then the workmanship .
they will farm out the car to thier panelbeater for repairs . i would have a word to them on what ford has approved in regards to repairs and then make sure your happy with what they are going to do , and let them know you'll hold them accountable for the work and trusting them to help you .
cheers .

Hopefully whatever issues you had with your experience dealing with them have been addressed and they've changed for the better and everyone is getting the same positive experience that GTFPV is getting.
