The one on the far left is an LTD badge off a Ford, the XR and the 6 are Ford XR6, CarryBoy is a fibreglass canopy for the back of utes, the D4D is off a diesel Mitsubishi I think, haven't seen that V8 badge before, but I like it, the T with wings is a Ford Tickford Falcon and the TX I think is a Ford Territory.

The V8 badge is off a Plymouth, down here in Aus it may have been put on an early V8 Valiant?
The badge on the far right is actually a bonnet emblem off the Fairlane's, the animal on it is actually a Cougar which is of course used on the Mercury Cougar. |

Actually, it appeared much earlier than the ZL, the ZH had it first. It really originated in the US, appearing on a few different fords, more than likely the LTD II so Jaydee could be considered correct

Well I own it now, thanks Petrolhead, it's a very nice badge, in my collectors cabinet with my other bits and pieces.

I used to collect badges when I was a kid. My family owned a panel shop, so we used to go around the wrecks 'borrowing' the badges. For some reason, a mate at school would always want the new RTS (Radial Tuned Suspension) badges....Ended up with a heap of 351 High Performance, GT, and GTS badges among others.
We also lived within walking distance to the tip. In those days they didn't crush the cars and stack them. You could go around ripping badges off to your hearts content!!! In fact what I can remember being dumped there in those days would make people cry now!!! |
