How about asking the previous owner, if he has the engine and trans still, or even the supercharger parts?

If he has on-sold them, maybe you could even track down the parts and buy them back?

If it's ever going to be collectable, a matching numbers driveline will help to add value.

id be leaving it as a V8....just buy a NC fairlane for the running gear..5.0Ltr and auto..and it will all be bolt on ..changing back to the 6 wont be as straight forward as you think......
it would be the same as doing a V8 conversion on an EA but in reverse lol

yeap leave it as a V8 if finding the original equipment is to hard, which it will be.

Its been engineered with a V8 which makes it an unique EA anyway. If you really care for the car then restore it.

No definately not a one-off, I think the idea was valid but they really didn't look all that good and as such were never really accepted - plus if I remember, even back in the early 80's they were VERY expensive as I think they were only Pirelli tyres that fitted the rims.

Thats awesome mate, the EA might have a tarnished name but nevertheless its part of Falcon history and this is an unusual car that will draw attention at shows etc..keep us updated with pics please!

Have only seen dual tyres like earlier in this thread once - was in the late 80's on a VL cop car in northern SA.

Good luck with the restoration - obviously means a lot to you, so good to see you sticking it out.

Those twins were put there for safety in the first place. As has been explained in earlier posts, they were an early attempt to eliminate hydroplaning and according to tests I read at the time of their release they actually worked.
They never took off for many reasons, not the least because they looked rather weird.
