Disney's Cars Movie Synopsis Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson), a hotshot rookie racecar driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. En route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town's offbeat characters - including Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by Bonnie Hunt), Doc Hudson (a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, voiced by Paul Newman), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) - who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship. Not bad those sort of movies
I used to work with an old bloke nearly 60 yr old who bought A Bugs Life, Toy Story and Ants for his grand daughter and ended up watching them all himself....and went through all the quotes at work! |

It looks like a good movie. They put off the premier because they (the Americans at Disney) wanted it to premier on their Summer, meaning our Winter. That decesion meant it was delayed for about 9 months.
Can you tell I have been looking forward to this?

My 6yr old daughter is looking forward to this more than most her boy friends at school are.. she's a little car nutter though.. already knows exactly what she wants when she turns 16 and has already started saving in a piggy bank :|
Looks alright though, i'll use her wanting to go as an excuse for me to watch it ;) |

The trailer is pretty cool... I've been waiting for something like this as well. Obviously they expect it to do really well if they are delaying it till summer.
