Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week The LJ Torana GTR XU1 is undoubtedly one of Australian motorsport’s legends so it’s always a delight to see clean examples like this lime green one down here at Sydney Dragway. Top Japanese of the Week When an GTR shows up here at Sydney Dragway you know it means business. This maroon R32 managed an impressive best time 13.13 @ 123.24 MPH and if you know anything about GTRs you’ll know that this means there’s still a whole lot of potential just waiting to be unlocked. Top Rotary of the Week The RX3 is no stranger to us here at Sydney Dragway and when it’s rocking Pac Racing decals, you know you’re in for a show. This bright blue example ran a fantastic best time of 12.59 @ 106.71 MPH, treating everyone to that famous rotary buzz. Top Ford of the Week With an amazing best run of 10.46 @ 135.21 MPH, this F6 Typhoon Ute had to be packing some serious firepower underneath that bonnet. Nothing on the exterior hints at just how capable this F6 really is either, besides those fat rear drag radials of course. Top European of the Week The Lotus 7 was purpose-built with munching corners at the circuit in mind so not too often do you see them making the odd venture down the quarter mile. Despite this, they can more than hold their own in a straight line with this silver example running an impressive best time of 13.50 @ 97.33 MPH, no doubt due in part to its ultra-lightweight construction. Commentator’s Pick of the Week This C34 Nissan Stagea was one of the night’s most impressive contenders, managing a best time of 13.94 @ 97.37 MPH all whist running a super aggressive set of wheels and carrying a cargo pod on the roof. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race 4 Real is this Wednesday October 12, 2016. See you there!
