Default United phasing out E10 in WA

I've been using United petrol E10 fuel for last few years without issue.
But this morning it was gone from my local servo.
Out of curiosity, I called their head office and the lady I spoke to simply said it's going as they don't make any money from it.
Is this happening nation wide?
Shame really.

Not in Govco Qld.

"Ethanol-blended E10 fuel will have to make up at least 30 per cent of petrol available for sale in Queensland from January 2017.

Queensland Parliament recently passed laws introducing an initial 3 per cent ethanol mandate for regular petrol and half a per cent for bio-based diesel from that date."

I have heard this also. I was going to have an E85 tune done on my FGX until I heard this. I think if there were more locations to by it people would be more inclined to use it. I think there are only 2 sites NOR that sell it.

There are some manufacturers that say not to use petrol with more than 10% ethanol.

I guess there's no sugar cane is WA ? Unlike Queensland .. I prefer to fill with local fuel . Keep the money in Aust . Engines need and require a re tune on more than 10% . E85 requires about 30% more fuel atleast at wot.

To a degree I agree with that. My wife's friends son's old (90 or 91.model) camry had the fuel lines soften, stretch and leak, which lead to it dropping a tank of fuel because it was not e10 compatible. My old van got 250 kays on e10 to a tank.yet up to 350 on real fuel. That's where the price difference goes out the window.

Fairly sure there are more than two, I've used the Gnangara Rd and Hepburn Ave one's in recent times for E10 and i'm sure I've used the Neerabup/Ossie Park one years ago too.

E85 in WA is a bloody joke and United are synonymous with dropping ethanol based products though props to them for at least giving us enthusiasts something to bases our tunes around. At least for a while...

Availability is the reason I wanted a 98 based engine combination.

I remember when e10 came out, it was about 8 cents difference to 91. As the years went buy the gap between e10 and 91 closed.

Current price between e10 and 91 in Melbourne is 2 cents. Not even worth using e10 when it doesn't last as long.

meh. it's all benzine and turps anyway. not much petrol in petroleum these days.

i usually get 94 E10 rather than the 'regular', which is 91 RON.

So the Camry is 26 or 27 years old and still has the original fuel hoses in it? mmm
I didn't even get that life out of the manifold intake ducting or the brake hoses on my 93 4wd Hilux diesel. Maybe I should not be using E10??

sorry mate, could not help myself.
