Apparently today was the last real production day. Friday's drive off the line event is purely ceremonial.

Technically or not, for one more day, Australia still belongs to a Club of 13 Countries who build cars, beginning Saturday that number goes down to 12... Its a f*&king disgrace, but one that has been debated to death and this is the wrong forum for that...

Can't believe it is actually here. For years we have been talking and waiting for a day I never thought would come. Bloody sad day and in some ways even more sad then the Ford factory closing. Holden has been without doubt a more successful company with the cars it brought to market. When you look at it they did a lot of cars. Commodore, Monaro, style side ute, 1 tonner, wagon, dual cab ute, statesman, 4x4 wagon, 4x4 dual cab ute, 4x4 1 tonner, 4x4 Monaro. They certainly had a red hot go and know one can say they didn't try. Sad day for all the guys that work there. Good luck guys you have done your country proud.
