In Victoria, is it legal for a BF 6cyl Falcon to tow [using a dedicated tandem car trailer] a car of similar weight using an ordinary common tow bar.

I do not think so - common tow bar =1600kg, but the falcon alone weighs more than this, let alone the trailer.

even with the 2300kg hitch your pushing towing a falcon behind a falcon legally, trailer would have to weigh 500kg or less and well that just aint gonna happen 99% of the time, most servo trailers will be 800-900kg
