I’ve always wanted to clarify something; are those Mustang numbers US domestic sales numbers only? Or do they include all exported cars too?

Those numbers would be for the US. Pretty sure the global Mustang sales are well over 100,000

Camaro isn't very popular. The previous model sold better.

I do prefer the Challenger, but i could certainly live with a new "Bandit" in the driveway

When are they ever going to release a factory RHD Charger and or Challenger in this country?

But people paid 180 to 200k for a 2014+ Hellcat. The last HSV, or woteva it was called cost close to that... For a little over 200k (220k) in the states you could get a Viper ACR and a Demon... Destroy it to the track, around ANY track, and back home. |

The Australian team have been trying to for a few years but the numbers simply don't add up. Even factory supported conversions cannot be justified.

Dodge Challenger's have so many variants so that is probably why it sells well just like the BA Falcons when they were released.
Dodge Hellcat in Aus converted to RHD is $270,000 Dodge Demon in Aus converted to RHD is $350,000 The last ever Dodge Demon made build number 3,300 in Aus converted to RHD is $450,000

im not sure where SORTED got those costings from , my research suggests all those varients are about 100,000 dollars less than his supplier - in RHD .
still more than expensive for the average expensive bloke |

My midlife crisis car would be a Challenger R/T Scatpack in F8 green.
Unfortunately they'd probably have to confirm to Australian standards if they ever did start selling them. Available in white or silver, you know, for resale value. |

Well, the hurt continues for Camaro Vs Challenger in April Sales but,
look closely and you'll see a very different story being played out.. 1. Mustang is clawing back an early decline in sales 2. Camaro April sales are much better than 2018 and YTD improving 3. It's actually Challenger that's crashing and burning big time this year Model.............April '19........April '18.................4 Months '19........4 Months '18 Mustang...........8,020...........7,125 (12.6%).........24,937...............26,289 (-5.1%) Camaro............4,205...........3,308 (25.6%).........16,288...............15,140 (7.6%) Challenger........4,492...........5,822 (-24.9%)........17,853...............23,540 (-24.2%) Bottom line, Year to date: Mustang YTD down slightly - 1,352 sales but April sales improved by 895. Camaro YTD Up slightly +1,148 sales and April sales improved by 897. Challenger sales down -5,687 sales with another hit in April of 1,330. Last edited by jpd80; 02-05-2019 at 03:26 PM. |

When was the last time Challenger had a decent facelift/upgrade? Seems like it's been pretty much the same thing for a decade.

I think they're afraid to stray too much from the existing Retro formula.

They could perhaps do a RHD conversion through HSV but probably never be factory and very expensive. Hasn't stopped them selling but could have heaps more.
I've seen a Camaro, Bullitt Mustang, F150 Raptor SVT (was really surprised about this one), Dodge Ram and a Silverado this week alone in Canberra. So definitely an appetite for these cars. |
