Default Hail Proof Car Covers

Hail proof car covers... Who has one and what type? Do they really protect the car properly from hail?

Default Re: Hail Proof Car Covers

I got one from Aldi a few years ago. They have them on sale from time to time.

Has never been used in a Hail situation, as I got a Carport not long after.

To me it looks like it would offer some type or protection up to a point.
Where that point is in Hail size I do not know.
The padding does not cover the sides however.

I was going to use it as a normal cover but after I got it home it says on the packaging that it not to be used for this purpose and should be removed after the storm threat from the car.

It is impossible to fold up small so would eat up most of your boot if you carried it around for emergencies.

Basically it would be better than nothing, but take into account the size of them and not being able to use it as a normal cover.
