The i30 Nline in sedan and hatch speaks to me. I really like them both.

I have a 2L base i30. It’s been nothing short of fantastic. Obviously not a drivers car being the base but it does what we need it to perfectly.

A little more date and info, yes it is lock down haha.

Warranty- 5yrs/unlimited for all Ford/Hyundai/Skoda

Ford- 15,000km/12 months
$299/15/12 $299/30/12 $299/45/12 $299/60/12 $360/75/12 $400/90/12 $360/105/12

Hyundai 10,000km/12 months
$299/10/12 $299/20/12 $299/30/12 $299/40/12 $299/50/12 $490/60/12 $655/70/12 $385/80/12 $325/90/12 $325/100/12 $325/110/12

Add the Kia cerato hatch or sedan to that list. Same under pinnings as i30 but a slightly different flavour. Good for thought.

I wonder if you picked up the DSG auto service costs there?
Also you can buy a 3 or 5 year service pack from Skoda, pay in advance and there is a considerable discount.
On Cerato -its only available with auto.

Good point but I drilled down to the specific base model manual.

Had a look at your suggestion $1400 for a 5 year pack which is good value- making it $280 each year. It also says first 2 scheduled services free, so does that mean 7 years in total?

No its 5x15000km services so if you do 15000km or less per year it lasts you five years.
I guess also check with FOMOCO and HYU to se if they have a similar deal.
I think all the first two free means is maybe the cost difference between what cost you put up on your earlier post and the the prepay cost of $1400.
There is one at Gold Coast Skoda for $27208 drive away, think Brisbane City Skoda have 1 or 2 manuals as well not sure about Mt Gravatt Skoda.
Of the 3 I think maybe Brisbane City Skoda are more negoiatable.
As they are manuals they are a little harder to move for the dealer.
Doesnt matter where you buy it any Skoda dealer will service it.
Except for the 2 month or 1 month complimentary check over. That must be done at selling dealer.

I signed up for the 5 year service service pack as soon as the sales person told me. With inflation arriving soon its a great deal.

Hyundai let you pre pay for services. Not sure that there is a discount included or not.

At first glimpse I thought that was a massive, ****-off handbrake in that last pic. Is that just another "Jesus-Bar" for the passenger to grab?

Well I have two V8s and a V10 in the stable currently, I can cater for most generic tastes. But probably the most exciting thing in the garage is my Speed Triple RS. 130kw between your legs and the glorious howl of a triple is a real treat.

Never seen that before. Looks like a lower grab handle for the passenger

Hey there! Just committed to a Fiesta ST

The only one I didn't drive was the Hyundai, reason being it was a little too long and I didn't need a car that big, also the sedan boot may have become a little too impractical for me.

I must say the Skoda Scala was a really nice drive, if anyone is looking for an all rounder I'd recommend taking one for a drive. However, the Fiesta got me on having everything in the one car, fun, looks nice, enough room, manual, enough warranty, lots of features, the engine is worth it alone. Also it will be my 10th Ford, so you know, old habits.

Fantastic. What colour are you getting?
Do you have an ETA as they seem to be thin on the ground at the moment.

Thanks

Yes, I am getting white and I'll take it next week.

I've been a stock controller for Ford for a long time hence the short delivery, I just don't talk about it much as we are not a sponsor.

Tips from another thread I created on locating "impossible stock"
