Default AU Diagnostics!!! Opinions Welcome

violet
bold
I just got into the Computer Diagnostics in my AU and ive got some results..
Just want to see whether they are up to scratch. This was all on Idle!!

1. Petrol in Litres(No Level Buffering)...Petrol Sender Resistance(Unbuffered)
Result- 13L was flashing between 32 and 34

2. Coolant Temp(Degrees C)- 88.0

4. Oil Pressure(Bar, 1 decimal Point)
Result- Is Saying 0...Hmm dunno why!!!

Battery Voltage(Volts)- 12.6

5. Instant Fuel Consumption(L/100KM)
Result-1.9

And going through the rest of the list it came up with
*120000 with IIII under it
*130000 with 0000 under it

Im just wondering why the symbols underneath are diff? Does this mean it hasnt had its 130000 service? :

No-one really knows what any of the functions past 8 do... which kind of sucks. You think someone out there would of fired off an e-mail to ford by now...

There is not 130000 km, so that rules that out. Good point as to know one asking ford what all the modes do.

When I had my trans fluid replaced by a private company after the fluid had burnt because of a loose nut, they did a quick check of the diags and it threw up a code to which I gave Ford but they couldn't reproduce the code... when at the private company, he had this book with lists and lists of codes and what they meant... i'd love to get my hands on it

Oil pressure = 0
Most likely because you have a low series cluster and only an oil pressure switch on the motor (not the oil pressure sender like the XRs and higher models)

Can anyone with the oil pressure gauge and sender test this to prove my theory???

My oil pressure digital readout works and I have the low series, but it is the police edition. There have been about 3 threads of this (4 if you include the one i started in the BA section).

Fire off some emails to some Ford dealers and see what you get back....

the 1200000 & 130000 are not that. ITS FUNCTION 12 & 13. i.e. 12 reads 0000 top line and IIII bottom line, function 13 reads 0000 top line and 0000 bottom line.

No idea what there for though.

And yeah high series will read the oil pressure, low will only change if you have a problem.
