Question How long did it take for your car to arrive?

Just a question whilst I pass time awaiting the arrival of the new car...

How long did it take for your car to arrive from Ford?

Order placed mid / late March, still waiting, car has been 'in transit' from the factory to Brisbane for over a week now.

Whilst I'm at it, how many K's was your car delivered with ??

Thanks
Brett

(patiently waiting, NOT)

I was lucky, mine took about 5 days. This was the time it took to get the windows tinted, scuff plates, tow bar etc fitted. Mine had 3.8 klms on it. I think those were done during speedo calibration.....

Ordered a LX Focus in late Jan. Picked up the car in mid March. Spent a day at the dealership to get tinted windows before I picked it up. It had 17km on the clock.

When i was working at a Ford yard, the new ones we got, consistantly came with 3kms on the clock, and once detailed would get a 15litre splash, and they hit the lot with 7kms on them

On my first time ( au xr8) was told it would be 2-4 weeks but took 12 weeks. Dealer tried to tell bullИИИИ story of a robot crushing a car on the production line
Second time ( ba xl) was told 5 weeks max and arived 9 weeks later then it had to go for another 2 weeks to fix a dent it was delivered with. Both time not happy as i'd rather be told longer as to not get hopes up. Both delivered with under 20 kays.

Took me 31 years to get mine. Of course a few other people test drove it for me to make sure all was good but took delivery of it last year. Was worth the wait though.

Purchased late Nov '05 and arrived 3 months later. Long wait indeed but expected it as I had asked for a '06 plated BF. In the end delivery was almost 2 weeks later than expected date.

yes they were asked and we got the usual side stepping answers, like testing and delivery to window tinters, etc. our car was delivered to a third party and they produced an invoice that showed it already had 47 kms when they received the car. so i'd say a few "tests" were conducted in between FPV and us. all was forgotten 10 minutes later on our 200km trip home, GT versus ESP.....no contest :hihi:
