Hello
Has anybody had any experience with the shift kits from www.shiftkits.com.au ? I just installed the Dual Stage one and I am not entirely impressed with it... it doesn't seem very exciting to drive. Like the changes are barely noticible... unless my trans is on its way out : What is it actually supposed to be like? Sorry if Im being an idiot here Cheers Jim |

I'll swap you boxes then. If you want a harder shift and I want a softer one, maybe we'll each get what we are after. LOL. Any idea what resistors are in yours?

Are you sure you wired it into the loom properly?

Hey i have a shift kit in my xr8 ute but its home made one about $20 parts and instead of a fixed resister it has a pot, its and adjustable resister wind up for hard hard shifts and wind it to the lowest setting it is almost like having it off but instead of changing real hard it just changes real quick but smooth, but u can find somewhere inbetween that would suit anyone, so if yours is one from a shop and is wired up prob it should work fine, stg 2 should be like mine is at about half dial which is more then enough to break track at a 90kmh shift into second, bit scary in wet though : :

I have just gone over all the wiring and did an ECU reset, which mildly improved it, but its not scary to drive in the slightest... even on the "Firm" setting. Not sure what is going on...

Got the fully adjustable one from shiftkits.com and love it. I've found the shift that suits me and marked it so when the super hard calls i've got a guid to put back to my most desired everyday shift. Worth the extra 20 bucks for fully adjustable.

Hmm, something is wrong. It should be very noticable...and scary in the wet
Get in touch with the guy from shiftkits.com.au. He should be able to get you back on track.

I had one before and did not get hard shifts. Now my car chirps and goes forward hard with another design which gave me .3 second down the 1/4 mile.
