If you want the one that sounds the best, there's plenty of 1990s Holden 304/5L getting around you can have for a couple thousand bucks |

So I am mixing in 17% e85 in with 98 octane super to boost ocatane. I am mindful about the problems with lower energy density of E85 and therefore the need to have bigger fuel pump and injectors if going full e85, hence I use a lower mix of e85 with 98 to bump up the octane rating. And it does make a difference, getting the mix of e85 with 98 compared to 100% 98 I can feel the difference, engine is more crisp and immediate at lower revs, and higher boost and revs just pulls that much harder. Also the car is built to run ethanol mix fuels, just not 100% e85.

The turbocharged gasoline engine used two fuel injection systems, - port fuel injection using 91 ULP (about 95% volume) - Direct Injection using E85 for detonation suppression (approx 5% of total volume) By all reports, a test 3.6 V6 was producing 600 hp/600 lb ft on mostly US PON87 fuel Ford then made the system with just one fuel supply and avoided paying MIT any royalties… That system also avoids a bunch of problems with gasoline particulate issues that mostly occur at cold start up but also helps the whole emission profile over straight DI engines. |

Does the Dragon 1.5 have a dual injection system?

Yes, direct injection and port injection. Stops carbon build up which is a problem in direct only engines.

I found a really good engineer's write up of the 1.5 Dragon if anyone is interested. Tricky cylinder deactivation tech.
