I am surprised there is no thread dedicated to the next chapter of insanely fast cars. I expect a car forum would be interested in the latest developments.

Here is a simulation of the vehicles expected acceleration. It is interesting to observer that the engine stays in a narrow rev range when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hr. I suspect this is where the powertrain operates in electric/hybrid mode.

It is a fascinating thing if only for the sheer excess but with a starting price of AU$6.8M, there probably aren't many of us in the queue for one of the 250 they (might) build.

It's not like there is anything unique about the engineering - there's just more of it to the point of stupidity. There is no even insane reason to have over 1300 kW but I'm sure the few who get to own one will enjoy the rarity of the experience.

There's another market, too: check out the interior pics, there are no touchscreens. $6.8 million is the price you pay if you just want physical buttons and dials.
