Default AU2 Falcon

Hi folks,
My brother has a very nice AU2 Falcon 6 Auto / Liquid Silver in colour, that he's had since new. There's no colour fading or oxidising. It's completely stock and has been very well looked after, has never been in an accident or scratched for that matter just your usual stone chips here and there and from what I could see doesn't seem to have any rust especially in the body panels. It's done 280th Klms and gets it's regular service. He would just like to get an idea what he would likely be able to get for it. He will be 90yrs old this Saturday and given that he doesn't drive that much now he feels it's time to sell it. If it's not worth much he's going to give it to his grandson.
There isn't any bias content in the above car description. The car is as described it really is in very good nick.
Looking forward to your replies.

Cheers.
Grahame.

Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

Assuming it’s a plain Falcon, not a Fairmont or XR6, and it’s got the standard issue grey interior trim, value is not likely to be high. Sedans in such condition are further likely to bring lower prices than equivalent utes or wagons.

I have no doubt he will but only for the convenience as he's not a car enthusiast he's an IT guy so you know where his priorities will be. Which is a shame really as my brother really looked after this car. He's had it since new.

I would like to thank you all for your input it was greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi Grahame,

You never know - my eldest is very much into IT and loves my late father's VY wagon more than any other car. He loves it's simplicity, it's cruiseyness and drives it like a bit of a Grampa, to be honest. These qualities the AU2 has as well, what a car it is, my MIL had one from new.

There's a bit of a theme of the younger generation fellas doing the 'grampa' fashion trend, too!
