The car markets in Asia are also heavily protected by tariffs & quota, Malaysia in particular. With our relatively low tariffs this type of Government 'investment' can be better targeted.

i think they better all get a 30% pay rise whilst they are at it and give the CEO of ford a few hundred thousand as he saved the company from laying off a few underpaid monkey.

How would you like to lose your job when your company shuts down or is transferred overseas. Dead set mate your a goose. This country will go down the tubes without a manufacturing industry, its good to see the PM actually cares about keeping manufacturing in Oz.
