Ive just ordered DBA 4000 slotted rotors and Ferodo Formula pads.
Do you think this is an ok combo? Note: Car only used for normal driving. All comments welcome

Is this just the standard brake setup?
That'll perform really well. The Ferodo's make nearly no dust at all. I'm running that combo on the rear of my car.

How much on average would this combo set you back?

I'd look into the Tickford Setup. Larger 329mm rotor, will fill your 19" rims a bit better. Increased braking performance.
Then again, it will nearly double the price. As you need to buy the caliper and the larger rotors. Otherwise I reckon that setup would be quite good for road use. Cheers

If you can't stretch the Tickford rotor setup ... replace your brake lines with braided lines ... this gives a more positive braking feel when first applying the brakes ... they feel solid and give you the extra confidence in knowing they will pull up ... where as the standard lines still give a soft cushioned feel.

Having said that the combo is good,I ran that on the XR8. You will find brake dust will build up at the front a bit but that's the trade off for good braking.

I've put the DBA 4000's but with bendix pads on mine all round & the brake pedal feels so much better over the standard set up. Plus you can use them much harder for alot longer too.

You can buy nowadays Braided brake lines, mesh wrapped around the rubber brake hose inturn reducing the flex/expansion of the rubber. Much better brake pedal feel.
Standard on my T3,feel superb. Check out Cebco's website,he has a offshoot company sellling these around the country.
