I'm after some Capri front struts or even just the steering arms if you can help?

If i end up selling the capri and keeping the escort then i will actually need the front struts myself, sorry. i know how hard they are to get!

By the way, does any body know if the gearbox will fit any other type of engine? ie: pinto

I am led to believe that the struts and the brakes as a whole package are bigger than standard escort and are a considerable upgrade, therefore if i keep the escort then i will be keeping the front suspension from the capri.
thanks

Why not restore both? One is a great cruising machine, the other could be a cut and thrust mountain charger. Which type suits you and the area you live in? Where do you live? If you decide to sell the capri in parts you should have no trouble.

Front brake pads are the same in MkI capris and MkII Escorts. However the Capri rotors may be thicker and calipers wider to suit - one of these days I'll get around to measuring them.

for a start if i tried to restore both my wife would cut my d*#k off, secondly the capri is genuine but has alot of rust in all the wrong spots. all the usual spots are fine, go figure. if i can find another shell in Adelaide then i will probably do the capri and sell the escort. the goal is to build a capri for group n racing or build a escort for hill climbs and tarmac rallies.
another alternative i have just thought of is to put the capri running gear into the escort, something different!
