Hey all,
My front left window is stuck down. Its an AU3 Futura, so it has full power windows. I have cleaned the contacts of the main drivers switch panel for the left front window and it won't budge (up or down), but the left front window switch will move it down, but not up, so the motor is fine. Will cleaning the left front switch fix this? Cheers...

Nah. Turned out to be the switch in the front left door... Had to wait to do that after the landlord left! lol.
But it seems that they weren't dirty but rather had burn spots on the contacts? Would this indicate that the metal used (copper?) is not rated for the current?

Nar its just the reaction of the electricity on the contact. It probably looks like a mini pothole in the copper.

Yeah mine was the same. i used a nail file and a 3 inch nail for the indented peice of copper to just scratch it back to the copper.
all is well now. |

I think it went sour because I like to p*** off the Mrs. and put her window down, and she holds the window switch up to stop it going down.... Might rewire it so the Left front works with the childproof lock - lol.
