Can anyone tell me how to set about diagnosing the cause of the headlamps remaining in the up position when the lights are turned off and the engine off?

The problem is they are stuffed
Ok seriously is it just one or both If both probably the circuit that runs the pop up without the lights on (switch in console) if wiring shorts they can stay up If only one then it is probably the motor drive mechanism (it is a replacement option as lube and cleaning does not seem to work, Good luck

Both lamps stay up when the lights and engine are off. Does the control circuit operate the motors directly or through a relay? Is the line fused?
I probably can fix this if I know where to look, at least I want to be able to assess how bad it is when the guy at the auto electrics place puts on that depressing frown and starts to sob..... |
