I notice there are 2 companies that sell new Mustangs, Motorsport Australia and Mustang Australia. Has anyone information regarding their experiences with either one. Any problems experienced?

I know "Sport & Lesiure Vehicles" in Ferntree Gully/Mountain gate, SE suburbs of Vic, Sell them, I think they rally in the dutton events

In America Mustangs start at $19.995:00 for the V6 Deluxe, and we pay THAT for a HYUNDAI !! up $46.500:00 for the Shelby. What we pay for an XR8!!!!! Even when you allow taxes,freight etc ,we are still being ripped off. Freight from LA to Brisbane, in a container is $3k, by sea, for a car.  out:

I have lived in the U.S. and all consumer products e.g. appliances are much cheaper. By the time you get the exhange rate, $35,000 becomes $50,000, then there is the conversion which is quite costly. Then there is govt GST, and luxury tax, you quite quickly get up to $100,000 and yes the guys want to make a profit otherwise there is no point to it.
What I am trying to find out is how reputable these 2 dealers are, ie with their conversions and other fit outs. Anyone had experience with them? |

100k isnt cheap but you have to take into account ALL of the costs involved...
Base Car: AU40k + 3k Shipping + Duty + RHD Conversion (which is NOT cheap) + Compliance + GST + LCT It all adds up |

Yes, particularly as to their conversion work and other refinements. Has anyone had experience with them.

Do you have to convert to RHD in Australia? NZ doesn't require that.

Differnet states have different rules but in SA IIRC the car has to be 30+ years old
