Default Skirting question

Hey all.

Since we all know that AU-BF ute tubs are the same, does that mean the BA/BF XR lower rear skirt and side tray skirts will fit onto an AU?

Is it also the same case for the BA/BF XR cabin skirts too?

BA/BF side skirts won't fit the cabin of an AU. The guards are different lenghts and the BA skirts will need to be chopped to fit.

Damn. I thought that may be the case.

But the tray skirts will fit with no modifications?

ive seen an AU ute with BA cabin skirts on it. as well as a BA rear bar, and tub skirts.

PLUS BA utes, share the same roof line/windscreen as AU utes, as noticed by Simon, Matt and I

SO, i think some further investigation is in order.

but the cabin skirts could have been modded.

edit: but why? when front end conversions can be done.

i reckon they fit.

BA/BF utes and wagons use the same windscreens and rooflines as the respective AU variants.

BA sedans use the square cut-off windscreen ... above utes and wagons use the curved windscreens ... you can tell in the FTF banner pic that was taken on the photoshoot

Cabin lengths are different from AU to BA/BF ... and there is the different shape guard on the front as well ... where the sill kicks down a little at the wheelarch.

Tubs are idential ... and BF XRs use a full one-piece rear bar on the ute whereas the BA uses a 3-piece (from memory).

Adam can clear this one up though.

rear bumper reverse light was removed part way through BA Mk1 ... and just before BA MkII was released ... so there are some BA Mk1.5 utes out there .. not many though.
