BA airbox is physically smaller so you cant fit an AU lid onto one of them (I think thats what youre asking?). You could hack it up to fit an AU snorkel but even if you do, you'll get no difference from having a stock AU box.

I put one into my AU. you have to put the whole thing in, AU lid wont fit as stated above. and you also need to shave the base of the BA box to make it fit properly.
If i were you, and if your not on LPG, i would try and do the airbox mod that useless has done.. you will see much greater power increases than the BA box. |

A great improvement in throttle response and noise, though I'm sure it's not worth any extra kws. Put it this way, the missus noticed it first time she drove the car after I installed it (she didn't know I'd installed it), and wanted to know if I'd put PULP in it as it went better with less throttle application than before - I guess that means it gets the torque going earlier in the rev range??? I6Corp also has a BA Pod in his AU I6, so if you want another opinion, ask him too.

Alot of people on here are not qualified mechanics etc etc but have owned these cars for years and experienced alot of the problems asked , alot of people on here also have some very usefull information which works and can save a hell of a lot of $$ doing DIY work . Think before you post ! .

umm i wil be honest and say the ONLY real difference i found was as JC has said... the car felt a bit more alive after i did the airbox and an ecu reset.
But for the price you would have to pay to get an airbox setup, you could just buy sheet metal and bend it into shape like useless did and bang a pod filter in there and bingo, you got your self a bodgy BUT good CAI setup. P.S.. only photos i have are the ones posted. sorry |
