Just bought a wide mouth snorkel off ebay
Gonna buy a K&N Panel filter also Just wondering, is the wide mouth snorkel easy to fit? Do i need any other parts other than the snorkel itself? Like PVC piping or sumn? Will i notice any difference in performance? Getting my exhaust and extractors done in a couple fo weeks, so hopefully i will notice something then Car is a '99 AU Series 1 |

Youll notice a difference, albeit very small. I found it just a bit more responsive, but the exhaust is where youll see some gains.
As for fitment, of the snorkle, just two scres, undo them, take off old intake, slip new one on, do up the two screws and you are done. If you manage to take a minute doing it, congratulations on taking your time

I like the Unifilter aircleaner due to price, but I suppose if you get a K&N off epay it will be about the same price. Unifilter is Aussie too, and imho filters better. :

I am currently awaiting my new intake snorkel to arrive in the post, and also the K&N panel filter I also purchased off ebay.
Should be interesting to see the difference it makes. Not expecting an increase in power, just improved fuel economy and responsiveness.

Any improvement is a good improvement. Also total amount paid ended up being $75.00 for the two so all good Managed to pick up a 2nd hand K&N that has only been on a vehicle for 8 months total. No point buying a new one if I can recharge a 2nd hand one that has hardly been used.

ontop of the K&N and snorkel also modify your airbox to take a 3inch pipe that goes to behind the headlight....alot of cold air comes through there.
