Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows the legalities for bonnet protusions in Vic. Im not talking about bonnet scoops. Its a bit of a hard one to describe but im talking about non-functioning engine components hanging out the bonnet. Whats the legal height ?

Not legal. Doesnt matter the height. All engine parts, working or not, must not protrude past the bonnet height. They must be covered with a suitable scoop, which then have different measurment & legal requirments.

Isn't there another part of the rule that overrides some of that .
You can have something out the bonnet BUT it is not to be a moving part , not to be engine hot (exhaust) , can not get your hand stuck in it.
