Maybe the light's blown, I thought the flashing light when locked went back to when Smartlock was first fitted.... EA or EB????
Does your car have front power windows? These were made standard when the security system was changed from Smartlock to Smartshield. If you have 'em, check the build date on the compliance plate. Smartshield after May.

All falcons from EB2 onwards that have smartlock or smartshield have a factory immobiliser.
With all the work you've been doing on yours, have you changed the ECU or BEM at all? If you have, then you need to get them coded together by ford, or the car won't start. Have you checked the fuse panel to the right of the steering column? You could've blown the smartlock/BEM fuse.

Body electronics module. The ECU runs the engine (hence Engine Control Unit), the REM does all the other electrics in the car, including smartlock/shield and immobiliser and recognises the ECU that it came with - if you change one or the other, you need to get them coded together.
