Default plenum chamber

G'day all,
I'm toying with the idea of getting the Plenum Chamber on my au1 forte powder coated to match the colour on the rocker cover( flame red). With this in mind I had a try to remove the the chamber but got no further than the bolts holding it on ( 6mm allen key bolts about 12 in all ). I have a sturdy set of allen keys but they wont budge these bolts!!! I'm hoping some one out there has removed theirs and can give some tips how to do this. For instance, is there a special tool I can buy to de-bolt this thing or something. Over all, is removing the chamber a straight forward task, or better left alone. Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks all.
