Hi all
Id like to know u guys thought on what mod is best for the money. Ive got $1000 i saved up to throw at my beast. What would you guys spend on your machine if it was ur money? I was lookin at gettin the rebel rear bar and side skirts done from AWC but im also think about mechanical mods as well eg. tune, cam etc All input appreciated guys! Cheers Frank

The best way in my opinion to figure out the best way to spend your money, is to make a list of all the mods you wish to do. Then next to each mod put the price it will cost to do it.
From there, prioritise each modification to the ones you want the most. For example, - Tune - Cam - Respray. - Bodykit The way you could sort this is: - Bodykit - Respray - Cam - Tune This will save you money in the long run. Instead of getting a tune now, then buying a cam later. You can get the cam, then tune and save $1000 down the track. Being an xr8 with an exhaust, i would head toward making the outside what you want. The car will go good, sound great as it is i would assume?

$1k will not get you very far in terms of cam or bodykit, $1k would cover parts but not fitting

I am leaning toward the bar and skirts. As i think the rear looks very plain and like a stock falcon nothing to define it as an XR. But i would like some ideas as well.
Crazy-AU, i like the way u look at it as well. With the list and sortin.

You've got an XR8 mate, don't worry about performance too much as you already have it there! and you have an exhaust so you don't need that. Spend it on Looks, you wont get rims for $1000, you'd even be struggling to find a kit, have it painted and fitted for under $1,000

I just got my CAPA flash tuner for $480(bulk buy price, I think around $600 normally) and I'm very happy with the generic tunes. With the left over money take the car to a tuner and get it custom tuned, I hear it makes a big difference.

i would recommend just getting the AU2 XR side skirts and rear lower lip... will separate it from the forte's etc but shouldn't make it look like like a pig... (i find whole fiberglass kits make them look cheap... with gaps between panels and cracked front bars etc.)
Cheers Cam

Spend twenty bucks and get some clear side repeaters.
Stuffs me what you should do with the $980.00 left over though.

Go for added performance, rather than a body kit which will only make you go slower.
