I've come across a few sellers trying to claim that they can sell me a $20 performance Mod that will give me an added 20hp. I'm going to ask the stupid question; is it true that buying a $20 dollar part can really achieve this?

most are just a resistor that goes on the temp sensor to make the motor think its cold and needs to run rich like its in a constant state of being on choke.

waste of money their a resistor which you put in your, air intake sensor. Makes it think its running cold air. Pointless your ecu will learn this in about 200kms and correct it anyways....

Try to stay away from those dodgy ebay specials. If the ford boys here arent raving about a $20 doller 20HP upgrade, i wouldnt touch it.

Without seeing the unit in question, i cant tell you how much i could make one for... but due to being resistors and probably some fly leads... couple of bucks... LOL!
$30 bought me enough LED's and resistors to convert all my power window switches to LED's and then have some spares just in case, roll of solder and Butane Soldering Iron... LOL!

If a $20 mod really could get me 20BHP, then I would buy ten of the buggers.

Anyone heard of those hurricane/tornado fins? Meant to sit in the intake, just before the throttle body and is meant to change the direction of the air so it ignites/burns better?
Looked like a piece of scrap sheetmetal u would pick up of the ground after using a pair of shears! lol |

lmao Russ.
I just thought of another one. Someone on ebay was selling these plastic fins that sit on the roof just above the rear windscreen to help with aerodynamics, fuel economy, more power. |

capa sent me an email about these "intake votex" fins. apparently they lower fuel consumption! my guess is that they do this by restricting the air flow, then the car doesnt put as much fuel into it.

I bought one, just too see exactly what it was.
I never used it, I just got it to see what it was, as Id never seen one. The instructions made no sense anyway, its sitting around somewhere.
