Default Porsche LHD->RHD conversions?

Hi,

Does anyone know of any place that would do a LHD->RHD conversion of a 996? Does anyone of any successful conversions? I know someone who had a Toyota converted about 10 years ago and were able to drive it, but not sure of the current law, and who would do a Porsche conversion (outside a dealer). Also, what is the approximate cost of a conversion?

Thanks,

winovin

Before you get to the steering conversion, assuming you want to register the car, first make sure you will be able to get an import approval and be able to get a compliance on the car - start with the Aust Customs Service website. It is not as easy as you might think for post-89 cars
