Default "My Commodore is FWD"

Some bloke on another forum posts about how he was gunning his new SV6 and for some reason the front wheels started spinning, so he came to the conclusion that he car was FWD. Its a good laugh!

I won't spoil it for you, but see his post on page 2. What an idiot :

Hi guys

I recently brought a near new SV6 and overall im really happy with the car

Im not really into cars but im pretty sure the Commodore is rear wheel drive

I use to watch bathurst and seen the old commy's spin out because of its power to the back of the wheels.

But today it was raining and i had to step on it as i was on a hill (manual) and i started losing control, i thought the rear was going to go side ways but the front tyres lost grip...

i was dumbfounded by this so i went to a quiet street and really gave it and yep the front tyres started smoking up.

so where do i begin? contact holden and ask why my commy is fwd or is this the new model? Are they all FWD??

discuss...

Well thats interesting

I call BS - surely you can't be that stupid - and the story still doesn't check out:

Well seeing ALL Toyta Aurions are auto and he claims to be doing a hill start in a manual, I'd suggest he has probably ended up with a Camry Sportivo.

He's a disgrace to mankind. A real man would know what make and model it is, the engine in it and approximate power of a car that he or his partner owns. The fact he got the make wrong and his missus knew more about it is a real worry.
How is he supposed to discuss the merits of the car around a BBQ with a beer in hand like he is supposed to being an Aussie male?

Most real men can see a Falcon or Commodore drive past, identify the series, know which engines were offered in that car and identify which at least by a badge on the car.
What is this country coming to! :MrT_anim:

In the whirlpool thread, the OP ( a tool) says he earns $10K a day, and his wife purchased an Aurion? What Were They Thinking? Do we have to be dumb to earn that sort of coin?

Years ago I used to work with a bloke who had a VR and thought it was FWD. He was an IT manager too ,so heh ad (at least) half a brian, just no interest in cars.
WHen he was told it was RWD, he jsut shrugged "well, there you go" didnt really give a bugger. (but he still told me holdens are better n fords are cr@p)
Might be a lesson ther for all those people who say FWD commies or falcons wouldnt sell.

I have no mates outside of my car club that are into cars.. So I know how this feels. I also went to a school where there were only two of us into cars (Falzoony and myself) so that was an AWSOME school experience :
